It’s been a busy week for the FFG apprentice team this week.
In our Gateshead office Josh Edgell (pictured below with our network operations manager Malcolm Walker) has just finished his Level 3 customer service and is now doing an advanced logistics level 2.
In our Washington warehouse Chris Searle (pictured below with our GM Eric Scott) has completed all his apprentice levels and is now qualified to drive counterbalance, reach and articulated trucks.
We have also had a couple of new apprentices join the team this week:
Lucy Thompson (pictured with our office manager Kate Brown) is starting as an accounts apprentice where she will combine on the job training with studying and her end goal is to complete her professional diploma in accounting which is a degree level qualification.
Joel Stoddart (pictured with our driver trainer Tommy Sample) has joined on our ‘transit to transport’ scheme, starting by driving a van he will work his way through all the licence categories till he obtains his Class CE licence and as part of the program he will also complete forklift, ADR & first aid training.
At FFG we are committed to encouraging the next generation to be part of our journey. Logistics is a rewarding and interesting career with a variety of roles to suit all, and we will be offering some taster days over the next few months, so watch this space.
